Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Analysis Labs are specialized facilities for designing, synthesizing, and analyzing drug compounds to ensure quality, safety, and efficacy. They feature instruments like HPLC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and pH meters, alongside equipment for chemical synthesis, titration, and purification. These labs support research and education in drug development, QSAR, and quantitative analysis.

3. Pharmacology Lab

A pharmacology lab is a specialized facility designed to study the effects of drugs on living systems, focusing on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Key activities include conducting in vivo and in vitro experiments to evaluate drug efficacy, safety, and toxicity using specialized equipment such as Rota Rods, analgesiometers, electro-convulsiometers, and histamine chambers.

4. Pharmacognosy Lab

The Pharmacognosy Lab is a specialized facility for the botanical, chemical, and physical evaluation of natural products derived from plants, animals, and minerals. It focuses on the identification, extraction, standardization, and purification of phytoconstituents (e.g., glycosides, alkaloids) using microscopy and chemical tests. A Pharmaceutical Microbiology Lab is a specialized, controlled environment designed to test and ensure the safety, efficacy, and sterility of pharmaceutical products. 6. Central Instrumentation Room (CIF)

A Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) is a specialized, centralized unit within universities, research institutes, and technical institutions that houses sophisticated, high-end analytical instruments. Its primary purpose is to support advanced, interdisciplinary research by providing researchers, faculty, and students with access to state-of-the-art technology, usually on a chargeable basis.

7. Machine Room

Elevator machine rooms must meet strict safety, ventilation, and spatial requirements, typically requiring a minimum ceiling height of 7 feet, functional lighting (200 lux), proper cable, and fire safety equipment. They house crucial control equipment and must be kept at appropriate temperatures (5-40°C), while access doors should measure at least 750 mm wide by 2,030 mm high.

The Human Anatomy and Physiology (HAP) Lab provides hands-on experience in studying the structural and functional mechanisms of the human body through practical experiments. A Modeling Lab is a specialized environment focused on creating, implementing, and validating computer models and simulations for specific scientific and engineering problems.

All Labs
